Alwaleed attends Abu Dhabi Media Summit

The three-day Abu Dhabi Media Summit, held at the Yas Hotel under the patronage of Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, was attended by Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, chairman of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Court.
James Murdoch, chairman and CEO of News Corporation Europe and Asia, gave a keynote speech on the opening day. News Corp. is an investor in the Rotana Group, which is chaired by Prince Alwaleed. The event was also attended by chairman of the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoon Al-Nahyan, chairman of Abu Dhabi Media Mohamed Mubarak El-Mazrouei, chairman of the MBC group Sheikh Waleed Al-Ibrahim and chairman of Vivendi Jean-Bernard Levy, among others
The Abu Dhabi Summit is a gathering of both global and emerging market media leaders, aiming to establish a dialogue at the highest level on the future of television, mobile, online and print media, and digital communications.
The aim of the summit is also to define the opportunities and challenges for these various media in addition to investment and marketing, including in South Asia, the Middle East, China and other global media markets.
