Man held for selling monarchy video

The segment on ABC's
Foreign Correspondent series from last April was an examination of the future
of Thailand's monarchy. Anont says Akachai acknowledged selling the VCDs but
says he didn't break any law. The lese majeste law mandates a prison of up to
15 years.
Critics say it is mostly used as a weapon to punish political
opponents, since almost any critical comment can be construed as disloyalty to
the monarchy.
