Prosecutors had charged the trio with molesting the girl and touching her private parts when she was taking the school bus home. The girl was a student at a school operated by Gems Group.
The ruling was based on medical reports exhibited before the court, a lack of translators and contradictory confessions made by the accused during investigations. Prosecutors said they will appeal the judgment.
The alleged incident happened on Nov. 11, 2010 and the parents only reported the incident to the police on Jan. 9 this year.
According to the Dubai Police, the Indian child was allegedly raped by the three suspects, and was later dropped off at her home in Karama. 
Responding to the judgment, Gems Education Group said in a statement that Dubai Court has reached a conclusion that no rape or molestation of one of its students by the accused in the case has occurred, refuting assertions which appeared in certain sections of the media that Gems Education or Dubai Modern High School failed to protect its students.
A statement sent to Arab News also added that these three men were family men, fathers with young children and loving husbands who had endured not only immense emotional but also physical suffering.
Their character and integrity have been subjected to attack by many sections of the community, the statement added. Gems group also warned against people conducting trials by publicity.
Defense lawyer Samir Jaafar had questioned the parents’ delay in filing the case. “The complaint was filed almost two months after the alleged incident and it lacks proof,” he argued during the trial. He also argued that the information from the GPS system on the bus confirmed that the bus took its usual route and did not stop in an abandoned area.
After the incident, it is compulsory that all buses in which female students are riding on and buses for students regardless of gender from kindergarten through Grade 6 will have female monitors aboard.
However, several parents told Arab News a mother would not say her daughter had been raped without good reason.
