Pirzada Qasim, a renowned poet and vice chancellor of Karachi University, said concerted efforts were needed to project the issue and find a solution. Another poet, Sarshar Siddiqui, said that the issue warrants urgent attention. Siddiqui has written several books highlighting the issue.

Sehar Ansari proposed the establishment of a TV channel to highlight the plight of stranded Pakistanis. While, Aziz Jabran Ansari said the issue would remain unresolved unless our politicians are sincere in seeking a solution and take steps to resolve the issue.
Ajmal Siraj said he would use the media back home to start debate on the issue, and writer Afzal Ahmed Siddiqui promised to organize a poetry session in Karachi dedicated to the stranded Pakistanis.
Convener Ehsanul Haque said PRC has been pushing for the repatriation of stranded Pakistanis and mooted a proposal for their repatriation through self-finance. He praised MWL, OBAT, IDB and MWO for helping the stranded Pakistanis.
