Rotating Equipment engineers from Saudi Basic Industries Corp. (SABIC), Saudi Aramco and KFUPM took part in the meeting and discussed latest industrial issues about rotating equipment. Each team presented a technical paper and it was an opportunity for engineers from these companies to meet and exchange the knowledge and information.
According to SABIC's Rotating Equipment Network Subcommittee (RENSC) Vice-Chairman Abdullah Balhaddad, it was the first time for SABIC RENSC to meet outside SABIC facilities. "After the meeting, the team decided to hold an annual workshop about rotating equipment at KFUPM and expand this meeting to include other companies in the Gulf," he said.
Fortunately, some interests already came from other GCC countries to participate in the workshop, which will be held in the first quarter of 2012. Balhaddad added that he is inviting other engineers to share their knowledge and experience at the workshop.
