Brig. Gen. Sarhad Qadir said on Tuesday the three were found in an abandoned village house during a raid on Monday night near the city of Kirkuk.
He says the three had their mouths taped and tied hands and legs, but were otherwise in good condition. He didn’t elaborate.
The three work for Turkey’s Forum Electric Company and were abducted when gunmen stormed their office. The kidnappers later asked for $300,000 as ransom. No money was ever paid in the case.
Kidnappings — mostly of foreigners for ransom — were common in Iraq after the 2003 US-led invasion but have decreased with security improvements since early 2008.
