The sponsor in her 40s resorted to the crude form of punishment when her newly recruited housemaid failed to match her expectations while doing the household chores. The injured maid was admitted to hospital. The employer was jailed. However, when the maid’s wound healed and she was discharged from hospital, she pardoned her employer, Al-Madinah newspaper reported on Thursday.
