"There are no casualties among Saudi nationals, neither the residents nor visitors, as a result of the earthquake that struck the city of Lorca in the southeastern part of Spain on Wednesday ," 'the statement said.
The quake recorded at 5:05 p.m., measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale, caused only minor damaged and no injuries.
But in the region two hours later, an aftershock measuring 5.2 led to 10 deaths and hundreds of people suffering injuries.
Lorca, in the south of Murcia and close to the Almería border, has a population of 90,000 people.
