The event will be hosted and officiated by Makkah Gov. Prince Khaled
Al-Faisal who also serves as an honorary chairman of the Jeddah Charitable Society
for marriage and family guidance.
"This is the 12th time
such a ceremony is been held in the Kingdom. We want to thank our honorary
chairman Makkah Gov. Prince Khaled Al-Faisal for all his support, which
embodies our rulers close attention to these important occasions," said
the head of Makkah court of appeals, and charity fund member Sheikh Abdul
Al-Mushin Al Khyaal.
"On Wednesday the 29th,
the Jeddah Charitable Society for marriage will have contributed to the
marriage of more than 54,130 couples in recent years. These mass wedding
ceremonies mainly serve as a way to ease the expensive financial burdens these
young men and women face in order to get married. Also it serves to guarantee
society's cooperation in helping them to get married," said Sheikh Abdul
Allah Al-Othiam, Jeddah Charitable Society for Marriage general manager.
