PCB spokesman Nadeem Sarwar told the Associated Press on Friday a letter had been received from law firm Mandviwala & Zafar on Afridi’s behalf.
Sarwar says the issue has been referred to the PCB disciplinary committee, which will conduct Afridi’s hearing next Wednesday.
The PCB has suspended World Cup captain Afridi’s central contract and all his NOCs after he criticized leading cricket officials.
Afridi retired in protest, saying he will not return to international cricket if the existing PCB structure is not changed.
