The minister thanked Al-Rashoud for his cooperation in uncovering the unknown endowment property, spread on an area of 858.42 square meters. He urged people to honor the desire of dead people, who had endowed their properties for various purposes. He said some people were using endowment properties for their own personal interests.
“We encourage people who identify such unknown endowments, especially for those properties whose real owners have already died,” he said.
Al-Asheikh emphasized his ministry’s efforts to invest in endowment properties to make use of their profits to finance various Islamic, social and charitable programs including construction of mosques, Qur’an memorization schools and Islamic dawa work.
He said the ministry is the caretaker of endowment properties, adding that it would use them in accordance with the desire of their owners. He urged businessmen and philanthropists to establish endowments for educational, health and social programs.
