Statoil, holding a capital markets day in New York, repeated on Monday that so-called “equity production” of oil and gas in 2011 would be the same or might be below its 2010 level of 1.9 million boed.
Equity production is a term used by Statoil to reflect volumes it would have received if its oil and gas contracts gave the rights to a share of production equivalent to its share of expenditure.
Statoil also repeated its equity production target of 2 million boed in 2012, a figure it had cut from 2.06-2.16 million in February.
