Addressing a ceremony for the launch a housing project consisting of 25,000 low-cost housing units at Khaleej Salman, Prince Khaled urged Saudis to seek perfection in all their activities. "We'll not allow such illegal constructions in this era of work, production and responsibility," he added.
Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs Prince Mansour bin Miteb, who attended the ceremony, emphasized his ministry's efforts to ensure decent housing for all citizens by allocating suitable land and providing necessary infrastructure facilities.
The 3 million square meter project aims to build a model residential suburb of 1,250 buildings with integrated utilities that would serve its residents. While 52 percent of the project will be allocated to residential constructions, 11 percent will be set apart for commercial establishments.
