During the annual graduation ceremony and career day for people with special needs at the Comprehensive Rehabilitation Center for men in Dammam on Sunday, Prince Jalawi noted Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah had pledged over SR2 billion for the handicapped and to provide equipment and special cars for them.
Ibrahim Al-Mujalli, assistant undersecretary for social affairs at the Ministry of Social Affairs, said the royal order would be implemented in six weeks after the ministry finished the process of identifying and registering beneficiaries.
The ministry finished registering a large number of people who will benefit from the royal order.
Al-Mujalli said the value and number of cars provided are based on the number of people registered.
He said the ministry is still receiving requests from beneficiaries by e-mail. The cars are equipped with all the equipment needed to help people with special needs carry out their daily activities.
