A friend of mine submitted his family’s passports to the Canadian Embassy in Riyadh well before he was due to travel.
Every time he came to collect the passports, the consular section did not hesitate to inform him that his application had been rejected for silly reasons, such as the application deadline was not met, the data was incomplete, the information was not clear and so forth.
He missed his flight because he never received a visa on his passport, which was stashed away in the Canadian Embassy’s drawers.
By the way, my friend already had an entry visa to the US valid for five years. His sons are studying in Canada. These factors were not taken into account.
Nobody knows what kind of visa the embassy will grant, whether it is for a one-off trip or for six months or maybe one year, but it sounds like it depends 100 percent on the mood of the embassy employees as there appears to be no written regulations they adhere to.
The UK visa is a treasure invented by the British where imaginary fees are applied for providing the worst services.
Firstly, the poor agency offices are not typical of Great Britain’s reputation.
Secondly, some fees reach SR1,600 and others reach SR2,800. For a single trip visa, SR400 is required and maybe more.
Once they issued a five-year visa for a man and his wife while they issued a two-year visa for their child because he was entering the UK for the first time and it was not proven whether he was a danger to the country in terms of terrorist activities and conduct.
In a nutshell, it is all about a love for money and using all necessary means to collect it under any circumstances. What’s the solution? Simply don’t tour Canada or the UK, as there are many other alternatives.
