Etihad Airways has announced the appointment of Pawana Shrestha as its country manager in Nepal. Based in Katmandu, Shrestha will take over from outgoing acting country manager John Rees Evans to oversee the airline’s operations in Nepal. Etihad Airways’ Chief Commercial Officer Peter Baumgartner said: “I am delighted to welcome Pawana who brings extensive experience and expertise to our team in Nepal. She will build on the work of her predecessor, John Rees Evans, who in a short time has played a major role in improving our commercial organization and office in Nepal, further developing our operations to Katmandu.” Pawana has over 11 years’ experience in the airline industry. She began her career with Gulf Air in 1999, where she served in various roles in reservations, sales and marketing. In November 2004, she joined Galileo, where she increased its market share from 20 to 46 percent, making Galileo the leading Global Distribution System in Nepal.

Jet Aviation has appointed Charles F. Krugh as the new senior vice president and general manager at Jet Aviation St. Louis. In this role, he will be responsible for the company’s completions and maintenance business at the facility and report directly to Dan Clare, president of Jet Aviation. Krugh joins Jet Aviation St. Louis from Bombardier Aerospace, where he most recently served as general manager of the Wichita Service Center. A 23-year business aviation industry veteran, Krugh previously worked for Dassault Falcon Jet Corp. and several independent service centers. He is an airframe and powerplant technician and holds a BSBA degree in computer and information systems technology. “With an extensive background in both MRO and completions, Krugh is the perfect fit for Jet Aviation St. Louis,” says Clare. Krugh succeeds interim general manager Rodger Renaud, vice president green completions. Renaud will continue in his role as vice president green completions sales, facilitating Krugh’s introduction to his new responsibilities.

TNT Express Middle East, a global Express Company, has announced the appointment of Sajeel Qureshi as its director global account management for the region. With 15 years of experience in the logistics industry, Qureshi is not new to the TNT Express family. He started his career with TNT in 1996 where he joined the automotive logistics business unit in the UK and moved his way up through various roles including operations, business development, contract management and account management in the Middle East, Africa and Amsterdam. For the last four years, Qureshi has held the position of regional account manager for global accounts within the Middle East and brings with him a wealth of experience. In his new role, Qureshi will lead and coordinate the regional opportunities in the Middle East and Africa and align these operating units to the central structure. “I look forward to working with the TNT Express Middle East and Africa team and help continue its growth in the region,” said Qureshi. “Qureshi’s appointment complements our continuing efforts to serve our customers,” said Bryan Moulds, managing director for TNT Express Middle East.
