The officers were able to arrest the gang after patrol police noticed a group of people attacking a person near a shop in the Nuzha district of Makkah. The gang had earlier smashed the front gate of the shop and had taken money from the cash box.Col. Saeed Al-Qarni, director of patrol police in Makkah, said his officers were contacted by a person who said that a group of people had run away with his car. Police later located the car which was moving at a high speed and stopped it at the entrance of the Suleimaniya tunnel.Police saw two foreigners inside the car and later learned that the person who originally complained about the car theft was part of the gang.The three criminals have been transferred to Taneem police to complete investigations. “We’ll deal with these criminals firmly to ensure the security and safety of citizens and residents,” Al-Qarni said.
