Teenager arrested for looting expatriates

“Police saw a white car near a group of expatriates. When its driver noticed police approaching he fled from the spot,” a security source said.
Security officers then mounted a manhunt and the youth was finally stopped. When he realized that he could not escape in his car, he got out and tried to run away, the source said.
Police did not take long to arrest the man, who was carrying a gun and bullets as well as a knife. Police seized from him a number of cell phone cards and recharge coupons, an ATM card and an iqama (resident permit) of an expatriate worker.
Security agents who checked documents of his car discovered  that it was a stolen rental vehicles. The officers also found a number of tires inside the car’s trunk.
The patrol team handed the man over to Aziziyah police station. The youth is currently in police custody pending further investigations.
