Speaking to reporters
Hazare said, “This is the second freedom struggle and if my health permits then
I will tour the entire country from October to awaken the masses against
corruption.”
"My priority for them
is to find out who is supporting the Jan Lokpal Bill in Parliament. Those who
oppose the bill, we should confine them to their houses and not let them step
out and move around he country. While doing so, there should be no violence and
that a mob of 1,000-2,000 should lay siege to the houses of such members of
Parliament," Hazare said.
He further said that
people should be prepared for any consequences. "If they send you to
prison, be prepared for that…it will be a moment of pride," he said adding,
"I am gearing up for my third agitation if our version of the Jan Lokpal
Bill did not find favor. After Jantar Mantar and Ramlila ground, we will find
new space to hold our agitation."
Meanwhile, the National
Advisory Council (NAC) member Aruna Roy on Monday denied allegations that she
refused to hold a dialogue with Hazare’s team on the Jan Lokpal Bill.
"I didn't refuse
talks, and Team Anna's member Arvind Kejriwal charges are all false," she
said. Kejrival had said on Saturday that Roy was reluctant to talk with him and
had challenged her for an open debate.
