Faisal, accompanied by Deputy Qassim Gov. Prince Faisal bin Mishaal,
toured an exhibition of handicrafts made by inmates. He also donated
SR100,000 to support the prison’s productive works.“I am happy to
join the National Day festivities organized by the inmates,” the
governor said and conveyed the greetings of Custodian of the Two Holy
Mosques King Abdullah to the prisoners.Prince Faisal urged prisoners
to change their ways in order to become good citizens of the country
and make contributions to its development.He praised the prison’s
exemplary section, which aims to promote productivity in inmates, and
said it would contribute to reforming prisoners and making use of their
skills and capabilities.The governor called on the prisoners to
abide by the teachings of Islam in all walks of their lives. The prison
organizes Islamic lectures and seminars.Hamad Al-Saqaabi, supervisor
of the exemplary section, thanked the governor for visiting the prison
and joining its National Day festivities.The prisoners presented a
variety of programs during the event, including an operetta and poem
recitations. The governor distributed mementos to businessmen who
supported the prison’s programs.
