STC, KEC sign infrastructure deal

According to the agreement, the STC will execute integrated network linkage, including the establishment of infrastructure of the city's communications and developing it by introducing the best communications and information technology services.
Saud Al-Daweesh, CEO of STC Group, signed the agreement on behalf of the company while Sami Baroom, chairman of the board of directors, signed for the KEC.
Prince Abdul Aziz previewed modern capacities of the company where he saw the 4G services that provide up to 100 megabytes of Internet speed, and speeds provided by fiber optics network and the interactive TV (inVision).
“This agreement is a realization for the common objectives between the STC and KEC to incorporate the entire capabilities of the STC and the high quality services and technologies in the service of the city,” said Al-Daweesh. “The agreement derives its importance from the fact that this city is one of the most advanced cultural and scientific projects under the direction of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah,” he added.
The network linkage for the infrastructure of the Knowledge City includes all smart solutions and innovations related to telephone, the Internet and mobile services exclusively introduced by the STC.
