The team is equipped with fire extinguishers. This new task for the team was implemented for the first time this year. The team is very skilled and can reach accident scenes quickly. They also have the ability to maneuver through narrow areas.
Their main task is to quickly deal with emergency cases before they become more serious. The team is deployed in many locations in Mina and Makkah and areas with high concentrations of people. The Civil Defense command center predict that this team will be successful because officers working in the unit received intensive training on how to deal with emergency cases.
Currently there are more than 300 motorcycles equipped to deal with emergency cases operating during Haj.
