Khoja said the king and crown prince wished that Allah Almighty accept their Haj rituals and ensure their safe return to their home countries.
In a ceremony hosted by the ministry in honor of journalists who covered this year's Haj, Khoja said the services and facilities provided for pilgrims by all government departments concerned with Haj affairs was optimum, and this enabled the pilgrims to perform their Haj rituals with ease and comfort.
The ceremony in Jeddah on Thursday night was attended by Prince Turki bin Sultan, deputy minister of culture and information for information affairs, and Abdullah Al-Jasser, deputy minister of culture and information.
Khoja stressed the need to stick to objectivity in disseminating information at all times, saying: “We need to know and respect the role of information. It has only one message, which is to build individuals and nations, and to set the virtues of a great nation adhering to fundamental principles, believing in dialogue and peace.”
During the ceremony, speeches were also delivered by delegations from Asia, Africa and the Arab world in which the speakers expressed their admiration over the great achievements made in the holy sites, notably the expansion of the Grand Mosque and the Mashair Railway.
The guests also addressed a cable to King Abdullah expressing their thanks and appreciation for the generous hospitality and warm reception extended to them during their tour of duty.
They also expressed their adoration and delight over the high-quality services and facilities provided by all governmental departments, which they affirmed had enabled pilgrims to perform their Haj rituals in ease and comfort.
They praised the initiatives of King Abdullah to unite Muslims and promote dialogue between the followers of religions and cultures around the world as well as among Muslims themselves.
