Which do you think is your best investment to prepare for a happy future? Speaking for myself, I would go for the bricks and mortar every time. But having been involved in health care for a number of years, I have to advise you to invest in your body. Taking good care of your body is money in the bank. You can have a happy, healthy future as long as you have your health. You can always earn more money, but no amount of wealth can buy back your good health.
The people that I work with who are most motivated to lose weight, develop healthy eating habits, and get fit, are those who have had a recent health scare. These are our dedicated health club members. They are a delight to work with because they have such a huge motivation to succeed. So, when you are planning your budget for the future, make an allowance for the things that your body requires; best quality, healthy food; fresh fish, lean meat; fruit and vegetables; and low fat dairy products are a good investment
Discuss with your doctor which vitamins are advisable for your age and body type, and buy best quality. If you lead a hectic life that is also sedentary and stressful, join a gym and try to work out twice a week. It really is good for toning and keeping you fit. Spend time finding a gym where you feel comfortable. If you really can’t join a gym or go to an exercise class, buy some basic exercise equipment to use at home. Exercise time is time for you; when you make your body your priority, you are giving something back to it. You cannot just make constant demands on your body without giving it some payback. I never really want to go to the gym, but I love the virtuous feeling when I leave after a good workout. I try to get to my health club twice a week, even though I have a busy workload and three boys to look after. I spend an hour in the gym, half an hour in the pool, and finish by unwinding in the spa pool and sauna. It is my special time when I just take care of myself. Just a little daily exercise has a great impact on the body.
Big companies spend millions on advertising, trying to persuade us to spend our cash on junk food. Their neon signs beckon to us, offering fast, cheap food. Fresh fruit and vegetables do not command anything like the advertising budgets for fast food; think about when you last saw a vast billboard advertising apples.
It is so easy to buy into the quick fix provided by ready-made meals, fast food, and cool snacks, to say nothing of fizzy drinks. Unfortunately, cheap food can often be poor food made to look pretty. For the sake of your investment in your health, try to always eat five portions of fruit and vegetables a day.  Fruit and vegetables are your body’s protection against disease; they are your natural healers.
Fast foods tend to be high in fat, salt, and sugar. So, keep them for the occasional treat rather than let them become a daily habit. Try to eat low fat for a healthy heart and to keep the cholesterol level in your blood low too. A cholesterol level of less than five is desirable.
Spend money on what goes into your body, and look so much better on the outside. Invest in your future and look after your body machine by following these tips: Top tips for the new season Let’s all get fit together!

Watch your food portions.

How does exercise help your hear remain healthy?
— Eithris

Your heart is a muscle and will get bigger and stronger through physical activity, especially cardiovascular exercises like walking, swimming and dancing, which work both your heart and lungs. The stronger your heart is, the slower it has to work to pump blood efficiently around your body. This places less stress on it, leading to a healthier and more relaxed cardiovascular system. Experts recommend to be moderately active for 30 minutes a day, most days of the week.
