The city has a population of 356,876, according to the office of the Hail Province governor. Hail is largely agricultural, with significant grain, date, and fruit production. A large percentage of the Kingdom’s wheat production comes from Hail province.
In addition to its natural beauty, Hail is decorated by a number of modern entertaining and shopping centers including Al-Samra and Mashar National parks.
Meanwhile, an additional park is currently being constructed. This is Al-Shabab (youth) Park, located to the north of King Fahd road with an area of 64,500 sq. meters.
The new park will have a two-lane pedestrian pass of 600 meters long and 15 meters wide. It will also have a green area covering 3,930 sq. meters and consisting of 85 palm trees.
There will be 22 umbrellas to sit in and a number of fountains to freshen the air.
The park will have four soccer, two basketball, and two volleyball playgrounds and an open area of 28,953 sq. meters for the youth to use for barbecue and other activities.
There will be lighted passes for people to walk and a large car park.
According to PR director of Hail municipality Bashir bin Abdul Aziz Al-Sihaiman, the park will have a number of monuments, water lakes and green areas.
