Anwar Abdullah, an officer in a department that deals with public affairs and army morale, said Monday that the strikers demand the ouster of department head Maj. Gen. Ali Al-Shater for mismanagement.
“We have been treated inhumanely by a dictator who also ignores all our rights and financial problems,” he said.
Abdullah said Al-Shater has his own prison in the office and some were jailed for even minor offenses.
