The plane carrying their coffins arrived Tuesday at the Galeao Air Force base in Rio de Janeiro.
The navy says in a statement that the blaze destroyed 70 percent of the Comandante Ferraz station, which started operations in 1984. One man was injured and is in stable condition.
President Dilma Rousseff has said the station will be rebuilt.
Science and Technology Minister Marco Antonio Raupp told reporters that Brazil’s Antarctic program “cannot come to a stop, because it is a strategic one.”
