He said this massive project would provide National Guard personnel with comfortable living facilities and services while conducting an inspection tour of the premises in Riyadh on Tuesday.
The second phase involves 17,200 residential villas and 15 schools in the National Guard residential cities located in Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Hail, Al-Qassim, Madinah, Hofuf, Taif, and Yanbu.
Prince Miteb’s inspection tour covered one residential villa and a school under construction. While touring the school, Abdul Aziz Al-Jarah, director general of projects at the National Guard, briefed the prince on the school’s main features, including high-tech facilities.
The prince then visited the villa where he was received by Lt. Gen. Suleiman bin Zughair, head of the military wing at the National Guard, and other high-ranking officials. He also met with a number of National Guard officials who will move into the residential villas.
The fully furnished villas and schools will have all the required facilities and utility services. There will be six schools in the National Guard’s King Abdul Aziz residential city in Khasham Al-Aan, three in King Faisal residential city in Jeddah, and two each in King Saudi residential city in Dirab, King Abdullah residential city in Al-Ahsa and King Fahd residential city in Dammam.
The housing project for National Guard personnel that started 30 years ago is regarded as one of the best residential projects in terms of standard and quality ever built in the Kingdom. The first phase of the project consists of more than 13,000 residential villas.
