Kempinski Hotel Burj Rafal in Riyadh, which will be located in Saudi Arabia's tallest tower, will have its scheduled opening in the middle of 2013, followed by Kempinski Hotel Jeddah in late 2014.
The announcement was made during the Saudi leg of Kempinski's annual Middle East Road show, which commenced in Jeddah last week.
Seventeen international hotels showcased the luxury group's growing portfolio of properties from around the world and presented special packages catering to the Middle East market including Le Mirador Kempinski Lake Geneva, the Stafford Hotel in London, Kempinski Hotel Bahia in Marbella, the Kempinski Seychelles Resort, and the Ciragan Palace in Istanbul.
"Kempinski Al Othman Hotel Al Khobar will be our first property in the Saudi market, which is a critical market yet one that requires a great depth of understanding. We have been in this region since we signed the management contract our first property in the UAE in 1997. The market expertise and understanding that we have been able to acquire over the past 15 years places us in a strong position to enter the Saudi market with properties and a service product that is shaped by what travelers in this region want," said Avsar Koc, regional director of sales Middle East, Kempinski Hotels.
Representatives from the Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates, the Hotel Vier Jaherszeiten Kempinski Munich and the Kempinski Grand Hotel des Bains St. Moritz also presented several packages and services tailored to the needs of the Middle East guest — including large family-friendly room configurations, complimentary Kids Club activities, high-end spa packages and special halal menus.
