The aim is to develop the resources at the NHHCF and build up health and social services provided to patients in need and their families.
“This charity project is a good start to build our relationship with the Middle East. Our main aim is to focus on such important projects and help those who are in need,” said Luca Malavolta, Coccinelle retail director, at a press conference Saturday.
Artists Zaman Al-Jasem, Nora Botho and Faisal Samra together with professional photographer Faisal Al-Malki will have their work featured on handbags designed by Coccinelle, the famous Italian fashion brand. The handbags will be displayed at exhibitions in Jeddah, Riyadh and Alkhobar and subsequently hit shelves at Rubaiyat outlets throughout the Kingdom and Coccinelle stores in London.
The exhibition will move to London after completing its three-city tour of Saudi Arabia.
Abeer Qabbani, NHHFC board member and president of resource development and public relations, said, “The new project that we are implementing in cooperation with Rubaiyat carries a charitable artistic message which reflects the new thinking adopted by the foundation to fund its activities and charity programs.”
She added that NHHFC was very pleased to have Rubaiyat as a partner since it was one of the most prestigious fashion houses in the Kingdom and the board fully appreciated their support for its efforts to serve the patients in our Home Health Care program.
“For more than 30 years Rubaiyat has been a pioneer in bringing the newest and finest fashion, catering to both men and women, to the Kingdom and we are keen to elevate our status as a leading Saudi company by supporting initiatives and programs that serve the community,” said Wafa Abbar, president of Rubaiyat.
Abbar also pointed out that The National Home Health Care Foundation (Western Region) was the first charitable organization to lead a global charity whose activities extended beyond the Saudi market to join a prestigious fashion outlet in London.
