NGO organizes outreach program for Pak children

Pakistan Bazme Shaheen organized a colorful social and educational program at WAMY auditorium for children here recently with a focus on intellectual development, skills development and career orientation.
Community leader Jaleel Hasan, president of Pakistan Engineers Forum (Saudi Arabia), was the chief guest on the occasion. In his address, Hasan advised the children to follow Islamic tradition of seeking knowledge, which stipulates that a Muslim must seek new knowledge on a regular basis. He also administered an oath to all children that calls for emulating great Pakistani leaders like Mohammed Ali Jinnah and Allama Iqbal.
Hasan appreciated the efforts of Bazme Shaheen for organizing such programs and hoped that this group will train the children and make them the leaders of tomorrow. He said, “The lesson I got from this program has given me new hope for the future of Pakistan, which will undoubtedly be among the leading nations of the world in days to come.”
In his speech, Fahim Uddin, Bazme Shaheen president, said the children associated with the NGO have been actively participating in all social, education and entertainment programs. “Programs are being organized on weekly and monthly basis,” he said, adding that activities include quiz competitions, debates, creative writing competitions and various sports events.
The group holds students counseling sessions, summer camps and Qur’an recitation competitions annually. The highlights of the program were exciting speeches delivered by the children, quiz competitions and a national song competition. A creative art competition with the theme “My Pakistan” was also held.
Children who topped the list were presented with Pakistan Day Shield by the chief guest. Atif briefed the audience about the agenda of the program.
