Last week, the lanky Coughlin shot a 78 for her third straight Best Gross honors in the April Monthly Medal sponsored by Hilton Garden Inn Riyadh. The young Coughlin was also the winner in the February and March Monthly Medal, where she fired an 82.
Coughlin was 2 over going out and a double bogey on the par-4 10th was the only major spot in an otherwise superb round of 38-40.
At the rate the young Coughlin, who just turned 17 two weeks ago, has been scooping up victories there is no doubt she’ll end up the Best Player of the group when the 2011-2012 season ends in June.
Dirab Ladies Group captain Denise Holding raved of Coughlin: “She’s a very talented young golfer. She is going to England in September to enroll in the Lee Westwood Golf Academy and prepare herself for a professional golf career.”
Winning the Best Net crown was Korean Choi Kim on 66.
English Holding emerged the Alpha Division winner on 68 with Madele Burger and Mira Jung rounding out the first three winners.
The Beta Division title went to Monika Schiffer on 72. Regina Jung and Mi Jung Yoo took the second and third position respectively.
Laura Buckley, Fauzia Shamim and Kazuko Nagaya clinched the first three places in that order in the Omega Division.
Sile McIlroy, Mia Henderick and Kim each won a dinner voucher for two courtesy of Hilton Garden Inn Riyadh. The other raffle draw winners were: Coughlin (Optari ladies pouch), Madele Burger (Optari handbag), and Jung, Myungoak Hwangbo, Caroline Wright Li Ni, Regina Jung, Laura Buckley, Holding, Shamim and Kazuko Nagaya, who all took home a golf item.
Hilton Garden Inn GM Haakon Gaarder-Larsen and Director of Sales Feroz Khan attended the prizing giving ceremony along with DGCC Golf Manager Bouchaib El Jadiani.
