Safety standards

The Qassim building collapse calls for a thorough study of the construction sector and the safety measures it adopts to protect the workers from such incidents. Authorities should cancel the licenses of all construction firms, which fail to meet global security standards. Unfortunately, it is not just the construction sector but almost all businesses in the Kingdom don’t attach much importance to human resources. They don’t realize that when employees are satisfied, it automatically boosts their productivity levels, which helps a company grow. Most top officials in various sectors just believe in minting money and stay focused on their balance sheets, which is very sad. — Humair Khaled, Dammam
