This is with reference to the report “KSA mission in Iraq faces Iran threat” (July 1). All GCC countries should formulate a joint strategy to face this situation. We cannot rely on the Iraqi government because pro-Iran elements have infiltrated the regime and those elements are likely to ensure damage to Saudi interests. I think it would be better to look for an alternative arrangement to carry out diplomatic services. Iran can go to any extent to harm Saudi Arabia and its people. Unfortunately, the international community has turned a blind eye to Iranian crimes in the region. — Hamid Ghassan, Jubail
