The illegal parking menace has become a nuisance in many of the residential areas in Riyadh.
It is commonplace to see hundreds of drivers parking their vehicles, even buses, in the residential areas, which is highly unfortuante.
There are some workshops in the localities that allow the drivers to park their vehicles for “emergency” services, turning the area into a region suitable only for an industrial sector.
Each workshop has tens of vehicles lined up for various services in the locality where residents inlcuding school-going children and women frequent, leave alone the general health hazards that the area is exposed to.
My humble request to the concerned authorities, especially those in Riyadh Municipality, is to remove these hundreds of unused cars and relocate the workshops elsewhere. — Imam Balouch, By e-mail
