It’s half-glass ‘full’

This refers to Ramzy Baroud’s article, “For Palestine, it’s glass half-empty.” (July 5)
The problem is we see the Palestinian problem from just on angle. This is true that the Turkish-Israeli deal is far from satisfaction and also, what the writer says, it is “a political issue and not just an economic issue.” Yet nations pursue their policy — domestic or foreign — from their own perspective and not from the viewpoints of us individuals. Turkey is currently beset with its own serious problems and I consider it as a pragmatic approach on the part of President Recep Erdogan to reconcile difference with Israel as also with Russia. — Abdur Rahman, Makkah
