QATIF: Religious scholars in Qatif said they stand with Saudi leadership in fighting radicalism to ensure full security and stability in the Kingdom.
They said terrorists seek to bring chaos to the nation and its citizens, and the government would never allow that to happen.
Qatif Gov. Khaled Al-Sufyan offered his condolences to the families of the recent terror victims, and hoped they would recover quickly.
He lauded the role of the Interior Ministry in discovering the identities of the criminals.
“Targeting religious sites clearly shows terrorists’ mindset. Terrorism has no religion or nation,” he said.
Qatif local council’s secretary, Hussien A-Sarifi, said all measures have been taken to undercut the risk of terror activities in the region.
“We are determined to fight all those who seek to undermine the Kingdom’s security.”
Haj Fayez Al-Zyer, a Qatif resident, said people need to cooperate with the police and must report anything suspicious going around them.
Shaker Al-Nouh, a businessman, said Islam does not allow to attack any religious site, and that the attacks on Madinah and Qatif show that radicals have no respect of Islam.
Munir A-Nimer, a writer, said all extremists’ plans have failed as people in the Kingdom have rejected their extremist views.
