This is with reference to the report “Cut costs, ease dowry, get marital bliss…” (July 17). It is an important issue that we all should resolve together. We have created problems for ourselves. Our wedding ceremonies have become too glamorous that sometimes they give an impression of a fashion show. We spend recklessly on wedding functions. Our behaviors are completely against the teachings of Islam. There is no harm in inviting people over to share our happiness with them but there should be certain limits.
