JEDDAH: Consistent and untiring efforts by the Kingdom toward the development of various holy sites, particularly the expansion of Two Holy Mosques, came in for praise by Haj pilgrims in Madinah.
The courtyards of the Prophet’s Mosque have been receiving a steady stream of pilgrims from across the world. A number of them, interviewed by local media, hailed the Kingdom and Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman for the services they termed as unparalleled.
The pilgrims also highlighted Saudi Arabia’s generosity in spending billions of dollars on the expansion of the Two Holy Mosques, in addition to the holy sites in Mina, Arafat and Muzdalifah.
Abdullah and Nori Za’il, both from Malaysia, said the Kingdom has employed best of engineers and architects to develop the holy sites and is spending money that is equal to the budgets of a number of countries together.
The Malaysians also appreciated the investment being made to meet the operational costs by employing thousands of employees in the security, health, livelihood and other services.
Ismail Miloud, Ibrahim Kameel and Alfen bin Saleh from Thailand valued and cherished the efforts of the Kingdom to serve the pilgrims and embracing them with love and generosity.
“Every year, Saudi Arabia welcomes millions of Muslims from all over the world. This proves that the country is very much capable to provide all the facilities to pilgrims,” they said.
Ibrahim Yusuf, Khalil Noor, Adam Abdullah, Omar Ibrahim and Mohammed Asher of Nigeria expressed their deep love and affection for Saudi Arabia, its leadership and people.
The Nigerian pilgrims appreciated the Kingdom’s efforts in providing “best facilities to the pilgrims and making their pilgrimage smooth and comfortable.”
“The city of Madinah is wonderful. The giant projects, distinctive architecture and services are distinct,” the said.
