JEDDAH: Sunbulah of Playing Coach Michael beat Thunder 82-75 in the SEIKO Watch-JBL basketball tournament at Khalidia court here. Sunbulah played their heart out in the final quarter after Thunder had led up to to third quarter. Munez top-scored with 25 points for Sunbulah and was adjudged as the SEIKO Watch best player of the game while Zeon led the Thunder with 33 points.

ICHTHUS of Dennis Elmenzo defeated Fame 102-71. ICHTHUS’ trapping defense proved unbreakable up to the fourth quarter as Fame missed its shots. Carbonnel scored 22 points for ICHTHUS and was adjudged as the Giordano best players of the game while Garcia had 30 points for Fame.
In Friday matches, Khalidia Tambayz of coach Gerry Acosta beat Tetra Pak 119-88. Khalidia Tambayz’s run and gun offense worked well as the Tetra Pak defense collapsed in the fourth quarter. Acub scored 19 points for Khalidia Tambayz and was adjudged as the JBL best player of the game while Laput top-scored with 28 points for Tetra Pak.
R Printing – New Cabalen Restaurant of team manager Japh Villanueva defeated Sands City 99-84. R Printing executed its offense well in the fourth quarter as Sands City committed crucial turn overs. Renee Noel scored 20 points for R Printing – New Cabalen Restaurant and was adjudged as the SEIKO Watch best player of the game while Buhano collected 25 points for Sands City.
NSD Eagle of Coach Rey Maddatu beat Khalidia 40’s 96-93. Khalidia 40’s leading from the first quarter. Never Say Die Eagles applied trapping defense to halt Khalidia 40’s offense and overtake the score in last 10 seconds of the game. Dolloso top-scored with 25 points followed by JJ Hernandez with 23 points for the Eagles and were adjudged as the New Cabalen Restaurant best players of the game while Valdez had 15 points for Khalidia 40’s.
JDC Legend of coach Abdulaziz Ricky Yu defeated JDC B 98-82. JDC Legend managed to dictate the tempo of the game from the start. JDC B tried hard but cannot stop the offense of the JDC Legend in the final quarter. Jaber had 30 points for JDC Legend and was adjudged as the SEIKO Watch best player of the game while Nadsky scored 19 points for JDC B.
