CAIRO, Egypt: An official of the Arab League on Saturday denounced the crimes committed by Israeli occupation forces against Palestinians, the latest of which was the execution of three Palestinians on Friday in Jerusalem and Hebron.
Said Abu Ali, assistant secretary-general and head of the Palestinian and Arab Occupied Territories Sector of the League of Arab States, said the continuing murders of Palestinians are part of Israel’s “escalation of its systematic policy of ignoring political and diplomatic efforts aimed at breaking the political stalemate.”
Abu Ali said the international community should step in and assume its responsibilities to put an end to the summary executions and grave violations of international norms.
He stressed the need to also put an end to Israeli occupation, and to provide the necessary protection to the Palestinian people to enable them to obtain freedom and independence.
