LOS ANGELES: Hollywood actor George Clooney and British human rights lawyer Amal Clooney “really want” to have a baby.

The couple which got married in Italy nine months ago, have reportedly decided they are ready to make having a family a priority, Albawaba reports.

“They decided that it would be the right time. Amal isn’t taking on extra work at the moment and just continuing with the cases she has,” a source close to the family said. “This is something they really want.”

The 37-year-old beauty hopes to give birth in London a few months after they move back into their $15 million home in Berkshire, which is undergoing extensive renovations.

“The building plans include a nursery. They hope to have all the work done by Christmas,” the source said.

The “Gravity” actor previously admitted having children wasn’t high on his list of priorities.

Clooney said in May: “I mean, I’ve thought about it. It hasn’t been high on my list of ... I’ve been asked it a lot lately because I’ve gotten married and I’m doing a movie with kids in it.”

But the Oscar winner is said to have changed his mind after spending time with some of Amal’s friends and their children.

“Clooney loves the relationships his friends have with their kids. George is ready for this step and he thinks that Amal will be a great mother,” the sources said.
