The final of the European Champion League was held between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, both German clubs, at an invitation from Samaco, the sole dealer of Audi cars in Saudi Arabia, in a night full of excitement and enthusiasm, in Jeddah.

Invitees gathered in a top-class cafe in the city wearing scarves with both clubs' logos and watched the match with great enthusiasm and encouragement that started from the first moment of the match and built up to the 88th minute when Bayern Munich managed to score its decisive goal through great player Robin and thus clinched the title of the tournament. The match ended 2 to Bayern Munich and 1 to Borussia Dortmund.

Audi, the main sponsor of Bayern Munich, set up display platforms for Audi cars, including the Q5 model, to enable the invitees and the public to take a close look at them. The event site was decorated with flags of both clubs as well as Audi flags.

Commenting on this special event, Mohammed Mousa, marketing manager of Audi in Saudi Arabia, said Audi's sponsorship of this event is part of its strategic partnership with Bayern Munich. This comes within its marketing goals to encourage the public to follow-up the Champion League, which is the strongest European football tournament, and to experience the excitement and enthusiasm of the encounter between the strongest European teams for this season.

Mousa added: "Audi attracts a large number of young people who wish to own a high performance sporty car.

We also found that following-up the Champion League — which includes deeply-rooted teams such as Bayern Munich, a prominent club that has a great following among youth in Saudi Arabia — comes within our marketing plans to employ new methods for the introduction of our new models. Audi is the official car of many world famous clubs, including two Spanish clubs Real Madrid and Barcelona, Italian club AC Milan, German club Bayern Munich as well as British club Chelsea.
