Being versatile — is a prized quality in Bollywood. Like elsewhere, multi-tasking for sure, gives you an upper-hand here in filmi land.

Choreographers doubling up as directors and vice versa is a common factor these days. Possessing one super talent is not enough. Wearing many hats with equal ease puts you on a superior wicket, and not just that ... it gets the cash registers ringing too!

One of the first names that flash is Farah Khan’s, when you think of this. She was one of those first few talented people to strike it big — first as a successful choreographer and then as an equally successful director, as well. Her recent film ‘Happy New Year’ made and broke records and the team received multiple awards at a recently held Masala Awards 2014 in Dubai. What’s more, ‘HNY’ got the cash registers clinking loud and clear!

Next in line is our desi Micheal Jackson — Prabhudheva. His upcoming film ‘Action Jackson’, starring Ajay Devgn and Sonakshi Sinha is slated to release this week. It’s already creating the right noise! Invariably when Prabhudheva and Ajay Devgn team up for a film, how can ‘action’ not be there! Known for his difficult stunts, the buzz going around is that his stunts, under Prabhu’s supervision in the film are truly spectacular! It’s a combination of martial arts and freestyle. Ajay apparently even underwent intense training for his sword-fighting sequences in this movie. Not to miss out on the dancing!

While shooting the peppy number ‘Punjabi Mast’, according to the grapevine, Ajay got nostalgic. The entire setting and the feel of the song was that of a ‘Punjabi dhaba’, so when Ajay came on the sets he remembered his ‘Son of Sardaar’ shooting days.

How can one sideline Ajay’s co-star Sonakshi Sinha? Not even Salman Khan. She is making news for her three back-to-back films – ‘Action Jackson’, Rajnikanth’s ‘Lingaa’ and ‘Tevar’. In fact, she was the special guest at Big Boss after her ‘Tevar’ hero Arjun Kapoor last week. Salman Bhai invited his Dabangg Queen Sonakshi Sinha, despite reports about how Salman had made Sona break into tears at Arpita Khan’s wedding reception. Dispelling all rumors, Sona came, danced and chatted with Salman like old times and their crackling chemistry was clear for all to see in the Big Boss episode.

This girl is on a high! Her look and dance number in ‘Tevar’ has even Arjun’s producer-dad Boney Kapoor impressed. Observe her in ‘Tevar ‘he pointed out, “Sonakshi has never looked more stunning. Very few contemporary leading ladies can carry off a semi-classical number so fluently.” He even disclosed that he would work with her again “very shortly.” Fact was that she lost loads of weight, specially to shoot the song Radha nachegi (in the film), which is being aired now. Agree or disagree?

Rumours are abuzz about Sona’s alleged liaison with Arjun. Yes, Arjun Kapoor is the latest name which has been added in her long list of ‘alleged’ boy-friends. In the past, Sonakshi has been linked to Shahid Kapoor (R... Rajkumar) and Ranveer Singh (Lootera). Sonakshi Sinha was quoted saying to a daily, “With every film I do, you can’t link me up with my co-star, it’s not like changing clothes every day. A girl cannot have a new boyfriend with every film that she does. It’s not possible.”

Well! Well! Well! We will wait for her to finally get settled with her soulmate… till then everybody ‘Khaamosh’!
