NEW DELHI: Bollywood actor Imran Khan and wife Avantika Malik have been blessed with a baby girl Monday morning. According to a leading daily, Avantika gave birth to a beautiful baby girl at a Mumbai hospital.

According to reports, Avantika had to undergo a C-sec operation to deliver the baby. Earlier, Imran had expressed his desire to have a baby girl.

Although Imran remained unavailable for comment, a friend of the actor’s revealed that the delivery took place as per the expected schedule.

“On Saturday, Imran and Avantika visited their doctor for a regular check-up since she was approaching the due date. That day, they figured that a normal delivery would not be possible, so they decided to opt for a C-section instead.

Avantika was admitted to the hospital the following night,” says the insider, adding, “All three of them will be able to go home after a few days. For now, all their close friends and family members are visiting them at the hospital.”

Imran married his childhood sweetheart Avantika in 2011 after being in a relationship for a decade. It was in December last year that the duo decided to announce that Avantika was in a family way.
