LOS ANGELES: They announced the end of their 10-year marriage in March.

But despite their ‘conscious uncoupling’ and the stories surrounding their split, Gwyneth Patlrow and Chris Martin appear to be doing their utmost to remain friends.

On Thursday night, the former couple, who have two children together, were seen enjoying dinner together at the celebrity favorite eatery Giorgio Baldi in Los Angeles.

Gwyneth, 41, looked stylish in a pair of white shorts, teamed with a black top, blazer and ankle boots for the occasion.

Meanwhile, Coldplay frontman Chris, 38, opted for a more casual outfit in a long-sleeved T-shirt, grey jeans and trainers.

Following their meal at the restaurant, a favorite of stars including Rihanna, Gwyneth and Chris did their utmost to go unnoticed as they slipped out of the back exit.

With a restaurant employee on hand to ensure a swift exit, the couple kept their heads down as they headed through the plastic pleated door and to their waiting car.

Gwyneth was the designated driver for the evening, and was seen walking around to the driver’s side of the vehicle before transporting her estranged spouse home.

The pair’s outing came after Chris opened up about their marriage breakdown for the first time in an interview with Radio 1’s Zane Lowe.

Speaking about troubles within the relationship, Chris said: ‘About two years ago I was a mess really because I can’t enjoy the thing that we are good at and I can’t enjoy the great things around me because I’m burdened by this.

’I’ve got to not blame anyone else and make some changes.’

He continued: ‘I wouldn’t use the word breakdown, this was more a realization about trying to grow up basically.

’If you can’t open yourself up, you can’t appreciate the wonder inside. So you can be with someone very wonderful, but because of your own issues you cannot let that be celebrated in the right way.

’What changed for me was — I don’t want to go through life being scared of it, being scared of love, being scared of rejection, being scared of failure.’

Chris appeared to be shouldering the blame for how the couple’s troubles began. He said: ‘Up to a certain point in my life I wasn’t completely vulnerable and it caused some problems.’

The couple, who were considered one of Hollywood’s most solid partnerships, stunned the showbiz world when they confirmed their split less than two months ago on March 25.
