LEXUS has announced a significant growth in sales in the Gulf region with a 57 percent increase in Q1 2013 as compared to last year. The spurt in sales with 9,398 units sold during the first quarter, can be attributed to Lexus’ refined design and brand philosophy which has enabled it to consolidate its position as a vehicle of choice in the luxury segment.

The Lexus SUV product range did exceptionally well in Q1 showcasing customer demand for the premium off road vehicles. The Lexus LX saw a 37 percent growth with sales of 4,152 units, while sales of the RX range rose by 51 percent with 1,116 units sold during the first quarter.

In the sedan category, the new Lexus LS made its mark on luxury car buyers in the region, recording an impressive 180 percent jump in sales with 645 units. The Lexus GS also had a substantial increase with 545 units sold to register a 100 percent growth in sales. The Lexus ES had a 121 percent increase in sales selling 2,434 units reflecting a strong performance.
