A Saudi man chose a weird way to congratulate his wife for graduating. Instead of offering roses or chocolates or a romantic dinner, he hacked a government website to cheer for her success, reported Al-Arabiya website.

The hacker left a sentimental message to his wife, reportedly named Bashair, on the website of the Saudi Electricity Cogeneration Regulatory Authority.

He wrote: “I apologize for hacking your website, but I wanted to congratulate my wife Bashair who has graduated. I wanted to tell her through your website.”

He added: “I would like to wish everyone luck and success.”

However, this wasn’t enough for him as he expressed how he loathed Saudi Arabia passing harsh punishments against hackers with a longer message. “Instead of passing tough punishments on hackers, you should close any loopholes so you don’t get hacked.”

He also offered others his expertise: “I wanted to tell owners of hacked websites that they could contact me via e-mail and I will show them the loopholes I found.”

Saudi Arabia has announced tough punishments for hackers. They could face jail terms up to four years, and fines of up to SR3 million.
