The report on diabetes cases on the rise among expatriates is really shocking. One has to say that the sedentary lifestyle is the main cause of increase in diabetes cases. Since the report specifically mentions expatriates, I would like to restrict my comment to the foreigners only. Long working hours also leave no time for any physical activities like gym or walks. In addition to that it has been observed that many expatriates in an effort to earn an extra dime opt for working overtime and do not care much about their diet.
Either they abstain from eating anything at all or end up eating unhealthy fast food and fizzy drinks. According to health experts, consumption of sodas and colas is a major cause of diabetes.
It is said: Prevention is better than cure. Exercising for at least half an hour can help prevent many diseases. In addition to regular physical activity, one must try to eat clean. This is the only way to stay healthy and keeping diabetes at a bay.
