The article “Muslims are their worst enemy” by Aijaz Zaka Syed painted a grim picture of the Muslim community. For the Muslims of India, Pakistan should have been the source of inspiration and pride. Instead, it has become the land of sectarian hate. Al-Qaeda, the Taleban and other militant and sectarian groups may not know that the founding father of their country was also from a community that they are targeting these days.

Zafrullah Khan, the former foreign minister, who did so much to put Pakistan on the world map, was an Ahmadi. By contrast Maulana Maududi played no role in the creation of Pakistan.
